What to Expect

Registering your Interest

M2X Communications wants to bring you service as soon as possible.  By registering your interest, you are helping us map out prospective areas (Fiberhoods) to help us determine where we might build to next.

Get Signed Up

If you are in an area that has shown enough interest you will receive an email letting you know that you are now in the sign-up stage.  This is where you get pre-registered and choose your service package.  A percentage will be assigned to your area. For example, we may need 80% of an area to complete the sign-up phase before we make a full commitment to provide it with service.  You will be able to track the progress of your areas goal on this site.  If you notice your area is not meeting the goal, this is when you need to talk to your neighbors and make sure they are getting signed up.  If your area met its goal we will contact you to let you know that we are now committed to build your area and will give you an estimate on when we expect construction to begin.

Many things must come together before we can start the construction and installation portions of the build.  We do our best to meet our projected timelines, but sometimes things may take longer than anticipated. We promise it will be worth the wait!

Pre-Construction is Underway

Once we have determined our new areas we get very busy doing things behind the scenes.  Engineering, staking, getting permits from local authorities, ordering fiber, etc. all need to be completed before actual construction can move forward.  All these things take time and can cause delays that are sometimes out of our control.

Construction has Started

Depending upon multiple factors we may choose to either bury our fiber or mount it to an existing utility pole. Do not be alarmed when you start seeing different colored paint marks or flags around your property.  This is just us following the required laws for marking the locations of where each utility is supposed to be. This helps our crews make sure that we do not damage any existing utilities. When we start work directly on your property, we will reach out to you for help to make sure things like dog fences, septic tanks, and other items are not disturbed. We understand that construction can be disruptive, and we will strive to minimize that as much as possible.

Please remember that construction can be slowed down due to weather conditions that are out of our control.  Rain during spring in summer can cause ground conditions to be too soft for some of the heavy equipment that needs to be used.  Winter brings snow, ice, and ground frost that can make it difficult to bury fiber because the frost line is too deep.  We do our best, but mother nature sometimes has the final say.

Get Scheduled for your Install

Once we have completed all of the outside construction to your premise, we will be in contact with you either by phone or email to get you scheduled for the inside work that needs to be completed.  Please make sure that you have your router available at the time of the install appointment so we can get you surfing the internet before we leave.

Fiberhood Complete!

Now that all the construction in your area is done your Fiberhood has been completed and you and your neighbors should all be installed.
